Saturday, April 18, 2009: Junior Lacrosse Trade Brings Local Standouts
Home
The Thunder Jr. A organization has acquired Langley Midget standouts
Brandon Bull and Sean Lundstrom in a four player deal with New
Westminster.
The two will be assigned to the Thunder’s Intermediate club in
Abbotsford while preparing for future action in the Junior A league,
according to Club GM Brock Rose.
"I’ve been trying to get Brandon and Sean since the Midget Draft when
they were snapped up before we could get to them," said Rose.
"Both are offensive-minded left handers with great skills and a great
future with our organization," he added. Rose went on to say, "They
wanted to play here and we definitely wanted them. They’re two more of the young players from the
Langley area which we see as part of our long term development program."
The two players acquired by New Westminster in the trade were Junior
Travis Irvine of Pitt Meadows and Intermediate Regan Bal of Coquitlam.
The Intermediate A Stickmen season starts April 26th in Abbotsford. The
Junior A Thunder open their 2009 season at the Langley Events Centre on
Thursday, April 30th at 7:30.
