LANGLEY JR. A DRAFT PICKS FOR 2010
The Langley Jr. Thunder reached from Kamloops to the north coast for three first round picks in this years graduating Midget lacrosse Draft.
Langley's #1 pick overall was Ben Saklofski of Kamloops.
Moments later with the #3 first round selection, the Thunder chose Ben's teammate, Brett Fleming. Then GM Brock Rose and coach Rey Comeault turned to Terrace and named Connor Buick as their 5th pick in the first round.
Langley acquired the additional first round picks through trades.
The Thunder Jr. A club continued its rebuilding program by drafting a total of 16 young free-agent players from a variety of minor programs.
As these players move into Intermediate play they will become eligible to join the Thunder's intermediate A team in Langley.
"And before too long," said Club president Joe Willmott as he welcomed the players, "we expect to see them in Thunder Jr. A jerseys - and in playoff games."
