THE THUNDER ROLL THIS WEEKEND

The Langley Jr. A Thunder hit the 2010 season running – playing three games in just five nights – beginning tonight - Friday, April 23.

The Thunder meet the Saints in Port Coquitlam at 8:00 Friday; face Delta Islanders at 7:30 Saturday in Ladner; then host Burnaby Tuesday, April 27th at the Langley Events Centre at 7:30.

What’s the outlook?

GM Brock Rose says ‘I’m very optimistic. We’re fast and we’re strong. We’re not going to be intimidated. Some other teams are larger but we’ve shown in the exhibition games that we’re not backing down. We’re taking it to them. It’s going to be a good year.”

The 2010 Jr Thunder roster will have close to 20 new faces.

Under Head Coach Rey Comeault the team has shown, in a series of exhibition games, that it wants to hustle.

After each game, the coach has been noting examples of improvement in both offense and defense.

“We’ve got more to learn,” says an optimistic Comeault. “But we’re learning it.”

In pre-season games, the Thunder tied Port Coquitlam, defeated Victoria and fell to Coquitlam and Delta.
