Spagnuolo, Pym joining Thunder

The Langley Thunder continue their preparation for the 2020 Western Lacrosse Association season adding to both their coaching and management team.

Remo Spagnuolo is re-joining the Thunder to serve as assistant general manager of the Senior A lacrosse club. He was previously with Langley as an assistant coach.

Spagnuolo has been coaching since 2002 and served on the Langley staff from 2010 to 2015.

Dave Pym is coming on board head coach Rod Jensen’s staff as an assistant coach focusing on the offence. He will also work as the team’s video coach.

Pym also has a long coaching history, including serving as head coach of the Calgary Roughnecks of the National Lacrosse League. He joins assistant coaches Fred Klomp and Todd Stockdale behind the Thunder bench.

Spagnuolo will assist general manager Rob Buchan and will serve alongside assistant general manager Ryan Williams.

The coaching and management team are currently preparing for the WLA Graduating Junior Draft on February 6 at Langley Events Centre. The Thunder hold seven of the first 11 picks (second, fifth, seventh, eighth, ninth, 10th and 11th).
