Back for another go: Veterans Scigliano, Callies return for another season

A pair of standout veterans are returning to the Langley Thunder for the 2026 Western Lacrosse Association season.
Goaltender Frank Scigliano and defender Reece Callies have signed for another season with the Senior A lacrosse club.
Scigliano last suited up for Langley in 2023, dominating the league with a 6.59 goals-against average and .858 save percentage, both tops in the WLA. He posted a 12-1 record across 14 games, earning Goaltender of the Year honours and a WLA First Team All-Star. Over his two full seasons since joining Langley via trade, Scigliano owns a career .847 save percentage and 1,055 saves, ranking first and fourth, respectively, in organization history.
Scigliano – who is from Coquitlam -- was chosen third overall by Maple Ridge in the 2014 WLA Graduating Junior Player Draft.
Callies – born and raised in Langley – was selected fourth overall by the Thunder in 2017 and has been a reliable, physical presence on defensive end ever since. He has appeared in 57 career regular season games, anchoring the back line with his size, experience, and versatility.
Both players had their last full season in a Thunder uniform in the 2023 campaign and are currently competing in the National Lacrosse League: Callies with the Vancouver Warriors and Scigliano with the Saskatchewan Rush.
“Frank and Reece are cornerstone pieces for our group,” said Thunder General Manager Remo Spagnuolo. “Frank gives us confidence every night with his poise, and elite-level goaltending, and Reece brings leadership and toughness. We are thrilled to welcome both back for 2026.”
