Burrards best Thunder in rematch

Eight unanswered goals from the Maple Ridge Burrards were too much to overcome for the Langley Thunder on Sunday night.
The Thunder were at Maple Ridge's Cam Neely Arena in Western Lacrosse Association action with the host Burrards winning 16-7. Langley had defeated Maple Ridge 8-7 four days earlier at Langley Events Centre. The teams find themselves jockeying for the WLA's fourth and final playoff spot with both teams having eight points. Langley (4-5) does have a game in hand on Maple Ridge (3-5-2) as the teams get set for the season's stretch run. There are 18 games in the regular season.
In Sunday's contest, Langley held an early 2-1 lead before the Burrards ripped off four goals in less than two minutes to seize control.
Thunder captain Connor Robinson was the game's third star with a goal and six assists as he had a hand in all seven Langley scores. Nathaniel Kozevnikov added a hat trick and four points while Finn Halladay (1-1), Jon Phillips (1-1) and Chase Scanlan registering a goal apiece.
Dagan Carlson (3-3) and Marcus Klarich (3-2) each had hat tricks for the Burrards.
Maple Ridge outshot Langley 57-41 in the contest.
