A promising young addition acquired last summer is set to return to the line-up for 2026 season with the Langley Thunder.

Jake Govett -- who joined Langley in July via a trade with the New Westminster Salmonbellies -- has committed for the upcoming Western Lacrosse Association season.

Govett appeared in five games for the Thunder last year, recording two goals and four points. Over 25 career WLA games, the left-handed forward has totaled 12 goals and 43 points across the past two seasons.

At the professional level, Govett — who will be 26 when the WLA season begins — has suited up for 35 career National Lacrosse League games, registering 20 goals and 46 points.

Langley kicks off the 2026 WLA season on May 20 when they host the Nanaimo Timberwolves at Langley Events Centre.
