Langley, BC (May 30, 2017) The Langley Thunder (0-2) host the Maple Ridge Burrards (1-1) on Wednesday night inside the Langley Events Centre at 7:45pm.

The Thunder host the reigning WLA Champions in Game 3 of Langley’s 2017 schedule. The Burrards are coming off a back-to-back weekend where they defeated Coquitlam Saturday night and dropped their home opener to Burnaby on Sunday evening.

In the crease, Maple Ridge is led by goaltender Frank Scigliano who has posted a 1-1 record and has a 7.66 G.A.A and a .810 save percentage. Offensively they are led by Riley Loewen who has 5 goals and 3 assists and Coady Adamson who has 2 goals and 5 assists.

“We are exciting to be playing at home after a tough loss on Sunday,” said Assistant Captain Adam Will. “The Langley Events Centre is a great building to play in and we look forward to a tough challenge against the Burrards.”

Langley will be reliant on the trio of James Rahe, Bryce Brochu and JP Kealey who have combined for 19 points in their first two games. Free agent signee Kealey has led the pack with 5 goals and 3 assists and currently sits tied for third place in the WLA’s scoring race.

“The start to the season has really given me confidence especially after missing almost three years due to injury,” said JP Kealey. “I owe a lot to my teammates, I’ve been the beneficiary of their great plays and hard work. Ultimately, individual stats don’t matter, it is about the team’s success and winning games.”

Wednesday’s faceoff between the Thunder and the Burrards will take place at 7:45pm inside the Langley Events Centre. Tickets are available at the Langley Events Centre Box Office at 604-882-8800 or on the Langley Thunder website.
