by Trevor McManus

Langley, BC (June 29, 2017) The Langley Thunder (1-9) had a five-goal comeback that fell short on Wednesday night dropping a decision to the Coquitlam Adanacs (4-4), 9-7.

A returning Cole Shafer had 2 goals and 4 assists in his fourth game of the season. James Rahe had 2 goals and 2 assists, Bryce Brochu had 3 helpers, while JP Kealey’s 3 goals and 3 assists elevated him to second spot in WLA scoring at 38 points, only behind Victoria’s Corey Small.

“I thought the guys battled back really well. They showed a lot of heart and grit especially heading into the third period.” said Head Coach Darcy Rhodes. “We are looking forward to getting back inside the Langley Events Centre next week and playing the Shamrocks.”

The Langley Thunder’s next game is Wednesday July 5, 2017 inside the Langley Events Centre. All proceeds from the game will be donated to the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Faceoff Wednesday night is at 7:45pm. Tickets to the game are available at the Langley Events Centre Box Office at 604-882-8800 or on the Langley Thunder website.
