Langley, BC (June 15, 2017) The Langley Thunder (0-5) lost to the Burnaby Lakers (4-2) on Wednesday night, 10-5.

The Thunder found their greatest success in the second period where they scored three goals, but that was sandwiched between a one-goal first and third.

Langley found goals from James Rahe and Brandon Clelland who both had a pair, while Nathan McKeigan scored the fifth and final goal for the Thunder.

“Even though our success this season cannot be measured in victories, the team continues to have a positive outlook,” said Head Coach Darcy Rhodes. “The guys continue to work hard and are excited to get better and are excited to get the first win of the season.”

It is a quick turnaround for Langley as they have a rematch with the 2016 WLA Champion Maple Ridge Burrards on Sunday at 6:45pm inside the Cam Neely Arena.

The Thunder return home next Wednesday, June 21, 2017 when they host the New Westminster Salmonbellies inside the Langley Events Centre at 7:45pm. Tickets to the game are available at the Langley Events Centre Box Office at 604-882-8800 or on the Langley Thunder website.
