Langley, BC (July 5, 2017) The Langley Thunder (1-9) host the Victoria Shamrocks (7-3-1) on Wednesday night inside the Langley Events Centre.

The night will feature a by donation entrance with all the proceeds going to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of British Columbia.

The Make-A-Wish Foundation’s mission is to grant the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy.

“The Langley Thunder Organization feels it is important to give back to our community, and believes that the Make-A-Wish Foundation with their mission of granting wishes to children with life threatening medical conditions is a wonderful cause,” said President and Governor Ken Buchan. “I have seen firsthand the fantastic things this organization does and we are proud to offer any assistance big or small. I personal know of two families who have benefited from the work that the Make-A-Wish Foundation does and would like to see that they are able to continue to provide kids an opportunity to fulfill a dream.”

Heading into Wednesday’s game, JP Kealey has continued his hot play as of late, scoring 19 goals and 19 assists in 10 games which is third in the WLA.

The Thunder’s powerplay is second in the league. Langley is firing at 40% which is only bettered by the Shamrocks’ 43%. James Rahe has led the way scoring 9 powerplay goals, JP Kealey has 8, both sit in first and second place in the WLA in powerplay goals.
