Langley, BC (July 11, 2017) The Langley Thunder (2-10) host the New Westminster Salmonbellies (6-5-1) on Wednesday night inside Langley Events Centre.

The Thunder will be dropping their traditional blue and blacks to dawn special pink and purple themed jerseys. The third jerseys have been auctioned off in an online bid. Heading into Tuesday, they have raised nearly $2200. Online bids will end on Tuesday night at 11pm and will then turn to live bidding on game night. The proceeds from the auction will go to the Tessa Beauchamp Foundation.

“As an organization, we look forward to supporting worthwhile causes and this one maybe the most important of the season to us. The Beauchamp Foundation is near and dear to us and we look forward to wearing those jerseys,” said Head Coach Darcy Rhodes. “Looking at this game, we are going to try and take the season series. We have won one and they have won one. We are looking to come out strong and take another home victory.”

Langley’s powerplay continues to be red hot. They currently sit third in the league at 38% only behind Nanaimo (41%) and Victoria (42%). James Rahe (9) and JP Kealey (8) sit atop the Western Lacrosse League in powerplay goals in the first and second spots.

Faceoff on Wednesday night takes place at 7:45pm with doors opening at 6:45pm. Tickets to the game are available at the Langley Events Centre Box Office at 604-882-8800 or on the Langley Thunder website
