Langley, BC (June 27, 2017) The Langley Thunder (1-7) have another set of back-to-back games this week.

Tuesday night they visit the Burnaby Lakers (5-3) inside Bill Copeland Arena at 7:45pm. Langley is looking for revenge after dropping a 10-5 decision to the Lakers two weeks ago.

The second game of the back-to-backs will see the Thunder hosting the Coquitlam Adanacs (3-4) on Wednesday night inside the Langley Events Centre.

“We want to focus on the game Tuesday night, we cannot even think about Wednesday’s game,” said Head Coach Darcy Rhodes. “We need a quick start against the Lakers and really focus on capitalizing on our opportunities.”

JP Kealey continues to lead the way for Langley, scoring 14 goals and 14 assists in 8 games and currently sits sixth in WLA scoring. James Rahe has 12 goals and 11 assists in 7 games, Bryce Brochu has 6 goals and 11 assists, while Brandon Clelland has scored 3 goals and 8 assists in 4 games.

Langley’s powerplay continues to be hot. They have the third most powerplay goals even though they have the second least amount of powerplay opportunities in the league. Heading into Tuesday’s game, the Thunder’s powerplay is striking at 42% only behind the Victoria Shamrocks’ 46%.

Faceoff Tuesday night is at 7:45pm inside Bill Copeland Arena. In Game 2, the doors will open at 6:45pm inside the Langley Events Centre with faceoff taking place 7:45pm. Tickets to the game are available at the Langley Events Centre Box Office at 604-882-8800 or on the Langley Thunder website.
