Tessa Beauchamp Night returns July 22

A night of exciting lacrosse and an opportunity to support a meaningful cause come together on July 22 as the Langley Thunder hold their annual Tessa Beauchamp Night when they welcome the New Westminster Salmonbellies to Langley Events Centre.
Game time is 7:30pm with doors opening one hour prior.
Since 2012, the Thunder have dedicated one home game each Western Lacrosse Association season to honour Tessa Beauchamp, an inspirational student-athlete who passed away at the age of 18 following a four-year battle with cancer.
As part of Tessa Beauchamp Night, the Thunder wear specially designed jerseys featuring pink and purple—Tessa's favourite colours—which are auctioned off following the game, with proceeds benefiting the Tessa Beauchamp Foundation.
This year’s jerseys are being sponsored by the Matheson Family Foundation.
Since the initiative began, the jersey auction has raised more than $34,000 in support of the Foundation.
Beauchamp was known for her strength, compassion and perseverance in the face of adversity. Her courage inspired countless people, and the Foundation established in her honour continues to support scholarships, community initiatives and charitable organizations that reflect the values she lived by.
"Tessa was an extraordinary young woman whose impact continues to be felt more than a decade later," said Ken Buchan, President of the Langley Thunder and the Tessa Beauchamp Foundation. "As someone who had the privilege of teaching Tessa at Holy Cross, I saw firsthand her kindness, her determination, and the way she uplifted everyone around her. This night allows us to celebrate her legacy while continuing the work that was inspired by her life."
Produced by X-Treme Threads, the jerseys will be auctioned following the game, with proceeds benefiting the Tessa Beauchamp Foundation. Online bidding is open now and closes at 3:00pm (PDT) on July 22 before in-person bidding continues at Langley Events Centre through the end of the second intermission.
