"THANK YOU" FROM THE JUNIOR THUNDER

by Brian Stanton

The Langley Junior Thunder want to thank their fans and friends who have supported them throughout the season!

The Junior Thunder finished the season off with a memorable 9-12 record which left them fifth in the BCJALL.

In the first round of the playoffs, the Thunder matched up against the Port Coquitlam Saints. On Tuesday, July 12, they fought tirelessly to a 7-6 overtime loss in Port Coquitlam. The rematch happened two days later on Thursday, July 14, inside the Langley Events Centre; unfortunately the Junior Thunder’s season came to an end after a 10-1 drubbing with the lone goal coming from Bobby Kidd.

Kidd’s goal would be the last of the season as the Saints moved on to Round 2.

This season saw many highlights including the emergence of Nathan Mckeigan, who in 20 games had 30 goals and 62 points. In the sharing department, behind Mckeigan was Andrew Gresham with 31 assists in just 14 games.

Thank you to everyone including all the fans and volunteers that supported the Junior Thunder throughout the year.

We will see you next year!
