Thunder add Carlson, Wandler

The Langley Thunder have acquired forward Dagan Carlson and goaltender Brayden Wandler from the Maple Ridge Burrards.

Carlson played all 18 games for the Burrards in the 2026 Western Lacrosse Association season, finishing with nine goals and 26 points. The 5-10 right-handed forward from Saskatchewan has played the past two seasons for Maple Ridge.

Wandler saw limited action with the Burrards last summer but during the winter, he was 4-1 with a 10.17 goals against average and .739 save percentage in the Arena Lacrosse League West with the Grizzlies.

Wandler also spent the majority of his four-year junior career with the Thunder organization from 2021 to 2024, splitting the final season between Langley and the Burnaby Lakers. He helped Langley advance to the BC Junior A Lacrosse League championship series in 2022.

He finished his junior career with a 10.10 goals against average and an .801 save percentage.

In exchange for Carlson and Wandler and future considerations, the Thunder sent the Lacrosse Canada/Western Lacrosse Association playing rights for Jake Boudreau to the Burrards.

It was one of two moves made by the team as they also sent the 2027 Lacrosse Canada/Western Lacrosse Association rights for goaltender Frank Scigliano to the Victoria Shamrocks in exchange for future considerations.
