For the first time this season, the Langley Thunder are hitting the road.

The senior A lacrosse team travels to Coquitlam on Saturday (June 2) as they look to get back into the win column following the team’s first defeat of the Western Lacrosse Association season on Wednesday night. The game is at the Poirier Sports Complex and begins at 7 p.m.

The Thunder are 1-1 while Coquitlam sits at 0-1.

Leading the way so far have been Tyler Pace and Connor Robinson, the team’s respective picks in each of the past two WLA drafts.

Pace has a team-high five goals and eight points while Robinson has three goals and eight points.

The Thunder offence is third in the league at 10.50 goals per game and special teams have also been effective, boasting the No. 2 power play (40 per cent) and third-best penalty kill (73.33 per cent).

They also have a league-high four short-handed goals.
